Dana Fund Has Banner Year

Dana Fund Has Banner Year

Across nonprofit sectors, schools and organizations are reporting seeing declines in their annual giving. But this trend is not the case at Dana Hall. In the 2023-24 fiscal year, 1,327 donors gave $1,998,628 to the Dana Fund. That total is above goal and an increase over the Dana Fund totals of the last two years.

“We are extremely grateful for each and every donor and their each and every gift,” said Director of Development Betsy Rigby. “We say this all the time, because it’s true: every gift does count!”

The Dana Fund is an annual operating fund that provides critical resources. In 2023-24 the Dana Fund provided 7% of the School’s operating budget. Gifts to the Dana Fund are used to support a vigorous academic program, diverse co-curricular opportunities, financial aid and faculty professional development, among other initiatives.

The Dana Fund is one of five strategic priorities in the Fearless Futures campaign. Because Fearless Futures is a comprehensive, multi-year campaign, every gift counts towards the $75 goal. “If donors are interested in giving to one of the specific campaign priorities, we hope they give above and in addition to their Dana Fund gift,” said Chief Advancement Officer Christie Baskett.
